Look out for others

In an emergency, some people are more vulnerable than others for example, the elderly, very young or disabled are more likely to suffer from the effects of extreme heat and cold.

You should always ensure that you and your family are safe first. However, remembering to help your friends and neighbours if you can is also important. Checking on someone’s wellbeing and providing extra support such as having a chat, providing items like blankets or collecting supplies for them can make a big difference.
