Suffolk Resilience Forum Supports National #30Days30WaysUK Campaign During Preparedness Month

Suffolk Resilience Forum (SRF) is supporting the national #30Days30WaysUK campaign throughout September as part of Preparedness Month, encouraging residents, communities and businesses across Suffolk to take simple steps to become better prepared for emergencies.

Led by the Emergency Planning Society, #30Days30WaysUK is an annual awareness campaign that shares daily themes, practical advice and activities designed to help people improve their preparedness and resilience. Topics covered throughout the month will include understanding local risks, emergency planning, flooding, severe weather, power disruption, cyber security, protecting vulnerable people, community resilience and recovery after an incident.

Chief Resilience Officer of Suffolk Resilience Forum, Becky Heginbotham-Blount said “The campaign encourages people to think about the potential risks they may face and the practical steps they can take to prepare. By taking small actions now, we can all become more resilient and better equipped to deal with emergencies when they occur. The message is simple: be prepared, not scared.”

Throughout September, Suffolk Resilience Forum will be sharing information, resources and guidance to support the campaign and encourage people to take part in the daily challenges on SRF social media channels.

Residents are encouraged to follow the daily themes and get involved by taking practical preparedness actions and sharing their progress online using this form #30Days30WaysUK SHOW US YOUR PREPAREDNESS
